Toast Titanium 15 Burn Speed Sucks!

So I've been using Toast since way back when it was the best burn program around and I've always been happy with it... until the last few years. I've stayed with Toast and I've paid the upgrade fees and now I'm at TT15. It constantly crashes, and when burning a disk it will sometimes create coasters. Now I have found that even if I save a disc image file and then burn that, it can't ever get above 1-2X and this is on a 12x drive with 6x BDR's. I just got a new drive and it came with Toast LT so I figured , WTH, I'll try burning the image file with this. It was burning between 6x and 8x and just ran great. Pretty bad when their free product has 2-3x performance increase over their $100 product. Hey Corel... how about you fix these issues with TT15 so we can actually get what we paid for! Matt Caswell

    Soft Subtitles In Toast

Hi, I need to burn SOFT subtitles on a DVD. I absolutely need the subtitles to be able to be turned off and on using a disc menu. Is this a function in Toast? If not, can someone please recommend another program for me to use instead? -Kayla

    Product Key

I have Toast titanium 9 but don't have the product key anymore or just can't find it. How can I retrieve my product key?
  4. Let's see, hopefully I can give all the background info properly: Working on an iMac Mid 2011, Processor 2.7 GHz Intel Core i5, Memory 4 GB 1333 MHz DDR3, Graphics AMD Radeon HD 6770M 512 MB, Software OS X 10.9 Using Toast 11 Titanium, Version 11.1 Burning a simple DVD (no HD) so I can watch it on a regular DVD player, so I'm using the "VIDEO" option and then the "DVD-Video" subcategory. In a folder are two files: Joe and Nancy.avi and Joe and Nancy.srt (yes, the names of the files are exactly the same, the only difference is the extension) Prior to upgrading to OS X 10.9 (Mavericks), all I had to do was drop the Joe and Nancy.avi file in Toast, click on "burn" and insert a DVD. Once finished, I could watch the DVD and the subtitles that were in the file Joe and Nancy.srt would automatically be hardcoded into the video (which is exactly what I wanted). The last time I did this was 2 days before upgrading to Mavericks. One day after upgrading to Mavericks, Toast will only burn the Joe and Nancy.avi file but I cannot get it to recognize the .srt file with the subtitles (and of course, it doesn't burn them when burning the video). I have made absolutely no changes to any preferences to any other applications, the only change has been the upgrade to Mavericks. Just in case someone needs this info, the Joe and Nancy.avi file has the following characteristics: Video: DivX 6.0, 720 x 304, 25 fps Audio: MPEG Layer - 3, Audio, Stereo, 48000 Hz The Output Summary says: Video: MPEG-2, 4.0 Mbps (8.0 Mbps max) Audio: Dolby Digital 192 kbps The day after I upgraded to Mavericks I tried to burn a DVD like the one I had burned a few days before with the Joe and Nancy movie, and it would burn the movie but not the subtitles. In fact, I tried to burn the same movie I had burned last (Joe and Nancy) and this time it would NOT burn the subtitles. It wouldn't even show them when looking at the movie in Edit mode while in Toast. Either Mavericks and Toast have an incompatibility or there is now a codec that is missing or not compatible with Mavericks and that is somehow affecting Toast. Has anybody had the same problem or even better, found a solution?
  5. Hello, I have just upgraded to Mavericks, and noticed something strange with Toast 11. While Toast still works for me, it's very, very slow. To convert a 27 minute video, it took me almost 3 hours! It's not a RAM problem, as I have 32Gb of ram, and have a Late 2012 iMac 27". Is there a fix for this, and is anyone else having the same problems? Thanks so much.

    Tivo Transfer Not Working….why?

I have updated the Toast 11 Titanium software with the hope that TiVo transfer would work. I use Lion as my operating system and it doesn't work. I had a macbook(all white) and TiVo transfer worked but now that I have one of the latest Macbook air and Lion as my OS and not it doesn't work. My shows show up, but I click the transfer show button but nothing happens. Please help…. Really want to free up my TiVo storage.
  7. Hey everyone, Usually I burn my movies via Toast Titanium 11 but I decided to burn my audio music as well. The other day I am trying to burn a cd with multiple folders/playlists but I can't seem to arrange them in the order I want them to play, instead Roxio orders both my folders/playlists as well as the music in the folders in reverse alphabetical order. Is there any way to resolve this issue or is this how the way it functions? Thanks!

How To Resolve Result Code = 3

Please advise, unable to create High Definition DVD using Mac OS 10.7.5 onto Dynex Double Layer DVD+R (8.5GB). While Encoding, get the following pop-up "Could not record the disc because of a Mac OS Error. Result Code = 3". First time user of this application. OS and Toast software updates all applied. Also running with Blu-ray add-in. Tried changing 'Quality'. Thanks for taking the time to respond if you know how to fix.
