  1. Hello, I have Roxio Video Capture Version 3.1.0 (141) and I'm using it with a Mac - I've tried on MacOS 10.12.5 as well as MacOS 10.11.6 just in case the newer OS broke something with the Roxio software. I'm attempting to capture video from a VCR over composite cables. I have tried with other sources as well with no success. The cables are transmitting a signal, so there is definitely something to capture, however: The preview screen always shows a green screen. I've never seen video come through. The audio comes through for 1 second when the screen capture hardware is first plugged in, then goes silent. If I play with the volume in the sound preferences, sound is then audible (see the attached video clip of the screen during recording). The video file saves as an .mov file, but appears to be only an audio track, although there is no sound on that track. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to make this work? Thanks, Matt.Roxio Screen Recording.mov

    Where Is The Toast Basic?

I bought the Roxio easy vhs to dvd for mac. I didn't have problems to capture the video but when I wanted to burn it, I found out that I don't have the Toast basic, which was supposed to be included in the box I bought. I had just one Dvd to install in the box I bought but I don't have any other program or dvd to install the Toast basic. Any idea how can I solve my problem? I'd like to put my movies into a Dvd but without this program I've no idea how it works. What's more, if the program it´s called, vhs to dvd, it would be logical that the program to record dvd is there, isn't it? It would be nice if you can give me an answer. Thanks!
  6. We are Movie nuts and have 100's of VHS Movies,(not home type) can they be copied easily to DVD,like DVD to DVD? Thanks for your help, Wishing You & Yours a Great New Year.. Ed K
  7. Where to begin. Bought this software in good faith hoping to get some old VHS tapes of my band onto the web. What a crock this has turned out to be. Hooked the video up to the composite cables, launched the software, it asked for the dongle to be connected which I did...and nothing. Audio but no video. Just the green screen of doom (which has taken over from the blue screen of death...not that I get that on my mac) I've tried using scart->composite cables and plugging those into the device...no dice. I've scoured the forum and the on,y responsive I've ever seen is "make sure you launch the software before you plug in the device"...unfortunately, it didn't work. I'm incredibly disappointed that something advertised as "Easy" is most definitely not...I wonder if I can get my money back as this product is definitely not fit for purpose. I'm running a Mac book pro with OSX v10.8.4
  8. Hi, I am using a camera with a bnc video output. I'm able to use a bnc to av cable adapter to connect my camera to a Roxio vhs to dvd capture for mac (Version 2.0.1). My camera can record with a field rate of 60fps. However, when I flip frame by frame with Roxio, I'm coming up with 30fps. I do not know if this is a recording issue, or a play back issue. Can the Roxio vhs to dvd capture for mac record 60fps? Thank you and have a good day. -REC.

    Need Instructions

Hello Everyone! I am new to this and I want to get instructions on how to convert an old VHS tape to DVD. I have the USB capture device and an old VCR but I don't know which I turn on first. What speed should I have the VCR replay set at? Which do I start first the VCR or Roxio? How long does two hours of video on tape take to convert to DVD? Is there a User Guide or User Manual available anywhere? I have lots of old tapes that I want to save but I'm just a little lost to begin with so any and all help will be appreciated a lot. Thank you!!
