Phoenix85
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YooobDnI1XI This is a video of what i'm seeing connecting to my Laserdisc player. I'm using composite out from the player to the green on the HD Pro but it's black and white. Help please? Thanks.
Phoenix85
Yes, that is indeed what happens when you feed a composite signal into the Green component line. It gets a picture because the green signal is where the clock/timing normally comes in, and then you get a black and white image. What you're seeing is "normal" for that particular connection. Thank you for your answer Is there anything i can use at all to connect the laserdisc player to the Roxio Game Capture HD Pro? I originally bought it for PS3 game recording but i don't really do that anymore so i figured i'd use it for something else as it's a great little bit of kit. There's 2 scarts, 1 composite and an s-video to work with.

Another solution would be to search on Google for a converter, I get 1.7 million hits.

d_deweywright
Basically, as was said above, you need to get a component signal to the RGC. I've never done anything with scart, but if you can feed it a composite input, and get component signals out of it, that should work.
Jim_Hardin
RGC Pro cannot use Composite... Only Component or HDMI are accepted If you have a LaserDisc Player around you likely have something there you could plug it into the Input side and use the Component or HDMI output from that to the RGC??? Phoenix85
If it can't accept composite why is any picture coming through at all? I also tried a scart to component lead, but it didn't achieve any picture at all.
ogdens
Does the Scart to Component adapter work ok when plugged into a component in on your TV.

Maybe a broken cable or maybe the player isn't liking the scart to component route. As i said before and you can see in the video theres a picture but it comes out black and white???
