2012 Creator Pro Fails To Install On Win 7

I have a new copy of Creator 2012 pro I bought from Roxio store physical media.

Installation fails during the installation of Directx - the install routine tries to copy from a folder called Feb10 (is that Directx vers 10?)

I already have Directx vers 11 installed

It is a Dell Latitude E7440 running windows 7 Pro 64 bit

 

I get the message - setup is interrupted and then installer rolls back

 

any ideas to install and skipping directx install ?

Thanks for the links. It seems by installing Directx manually from the Directx_Feb10 folder stops this error from happening.

Installation has now completed OK.

I'm curious as to why a standard install failed 3 times at the same point - what is done differently when I manually install DirectX compared to the install wizard ?
