Please understand my confusion, you wrote: "when I go into my folder I cant listen to any of the audio only the gameplay." It's not clear from that statement if you were hearing anything or not.

So, do you hear audio out of your TV when you're playing? My recollection from your other thread is that you're connected using HDMI cables, which is where the audio signal would be coming into the RGC unit, and then through to the TV.

The audio can come through my TV yes but it normally comes from my headset. However if I turned the volume up on my tv there would be volume yes

If you have your headset plugged in, does it cut the sound to the TV? Can you double check that? If so, then that would be a definite problem.

Yes, when my headset is plugged in and I turn my TV up there is no sound. But before I had the RGC and I just had my 1 HDMI my headset worked perfectly and I also got game sound from the TV.

Any ideas?>

So, you plugged your TV directly into your game box, so that the RGC is NOT in the loop, and when you plug in your headset, you get no sound? I suspect you misremember getting sound from the TV when your headset was plugged in because obviously, the RGC is not affecting the sound output when it's not connected between your game box and your TV.

The answer, then, is that you can't play with your headset plugged in because your game box doesn't output sound when it's plugged in, unless there's some internal setting on your game box, which I can't help you with.

So, you get audio, but no voices, is that what you're saying? Or is there no audio at all?

"No audio" means silence and is much different from not getting sound that you would expect from your microphone.

SILENCE! NO AUDIO, I cannot hear any audio nor microphone. The sound is completely silent. Actually there is some sort of dull slight sound as if something isnt plugged in properly but thats not the problem

No, the audio from the TV is not working while my headset is plugged in. Thats strange because it normally would it must be te RGC blocking the signal. Any ideas?

Well, the next logical step is to take the RGC out of the loop. If the sound still doesn't reach your TV when the headset is plugged in, then that would be why you're not getting any audio on your recordings. And that is my suspicion because the RGC is a "passthru" device and won't block audio or video that is getting to it.

Ok, I dont think I quite understand but what exactly should I do from here to get sound working on my RGC?

Thanks,

Did you do the test I suggested? And if so, what was the result? You didn't say in your post, and none of us are mind-readers, nor are we looking over your shoulder as you actually do these things.

If you get no sound on your TV when your headset is plugged in then you will obviously need to not use your headset when you're recording your game play.

Let us know if the headset cuts out the sound to the TV.
