Tivo Transfer No Longer Supported On Mac?

TonyInSanFran

Question

I just bit the bullet and bought a new TiVo Roamio Pro with a lifetime membership only to find out that TiVo Transfer is no longer supported on Macs. I have both the old and new TiVo's on my home network, but TiVo Transfer is only seeing the old one.

Anyone have a workaround?

Anyone know how to contact Sonic Solutions to see if they're working on an update?

This is so frustrating. I do a lot of video editing on my Mac.

It appears that Corel/Roxio has pulled the plug on TiVo Transfer. It is not included in Toast 12 and I think it has been removed from the Toast 10 and 11 updates. The workaround is to use the freeware cTiVo which you can find by searching for it at MacUpdate.com. It works with Roamios and is quite nice.

Toast 12 continues to accept the .tivo videos for burning to discs or converting.
