My best guess is that Toast is showing there is a directory database issue on your Macs that Toast is revealing. If you have Disk Warrior this would be a good time to use it. If not, try running first aid in Disk Utility. I'm just guessing because I don't know any other explanation.

It's very strange this is happening on two computers. You might try repairing permissions in Disk Utility. You also can try trashing the Toast plist and prefs files in your User>Library>Preferences folder to see if that makes any difference. Have you tried choosing Save as Disc Image to see if the problem occurs that way as well? It should if the error really is because a file can't be found.

tsantee- thank you! I repaired disk permissions still not working. I tried save as disc image...said couldn't find the file. =( I tried other burning software and they are working. The files are there so I'm liking your suggestion to trashing the Toast plist and prefs files, but I can't find them. I tried your User>Library>Preferences folder and there was nothing toast specific there. Any other suggestions? Is there a way to set Toast back to factory defaults? I also was wrong it's Toast 11 Titanium not 10.

Hold down the option key and select the Go menu in the Finder. Choose Library. In the Preferences folder there is a com.roxio.toast.plist file and a Roxio Toast Prefs file. Or just search for Toast in the search box when the Preferences folder is open. This is very puzzling. Are you in the Data window of Toast?
