Status Set As "recording" Yet Nothing Is Being Recorded.

Question

So, after a year and a half I finally got my HD Gamecap Pro to work, although I've already ran into another problem. When I click the "START CAPTURE" button, the status changes to "recording" yet the "time elapsed" stays at 00:00:00. Please help? I've waited ages to get this to work and now I can't even do anything with it now that it's working.

Unfortunately I have no answer. I just hang up to indicate that also happens to me that problem. I have the PS3 connected by composite cable from both Playstation and thus to capture the same TV program on the pc working properly. I have video, audio, and I can even make screenshot's what makes is "Burn." Just create a small video file that lasts one second

You need to use a cable like this http://www.roxio.com...e/overview.html

Also this might help http://img.roxio.com...dpro_qsg_en.pdf

I have seen this happen... The black screen and hesitation is 'normal' when you start or stop capture.

I think I resolved my by re-booting the PC ;)

Plan B would be to do a proper repair:

First thing to do is to turn off your Anti Virus, Firewalls, Registry Cleaners, etc.

Unplug your RGC Device and put it aside until you are completely finished.

Now insert your Roxio Disc.

Be sure you accept the offer to Check for Updates (this is for Roxio, not Windows)

When you reach the screen where
Repair
is offered, choose that!

When the Repair competes, turn your AV & Firewall back on and reboot.

please let us know what you find.

Dear, does not leave a black screen. I explain better, the program works well, I see what comes out of the PS3 to the TV on my PC Monitor, I can capture image and have sound, just to try to capture video "State" in the program is in "Capturing" the buttons change accordingly, but what does not change are the second recording. Just create one video file with duration of 1 second. I conducted all steps you indicated, but still continues to record the same amount of time. I installed it on another pc, the normal and fully functional. Any idea?

Please keep your replies in the same Topic.

This is extensive, but it what I suggest...

(Add Nothing! - Skip Nothing!)

Unplug your RGC Device and put it aside until you are completely finished.

Download and install the
Uninstaller. Then run it in
Moderate Mode
to remove any traces of Roxio.

Create a New User Account with Administrator Privileges.

Turn OFF any A/V & Firewall.

Reboot and log on to that new account.

Copy your entire disc to a new folder on your HDD.

In that new folder, right click on Setup.exe and select Properties.

Under the Compatibility tab, make sure nothing is checked!

Right click Setup.exe and select Open.

Allow it to Check for Updates (this is for Roxio not Windows)

Use the Default Locations!

When the Install competes, turn your AV & Firewall back on and reboot.
