Videowave Trim Feature Always Freezes.

Question

Hey guys. Since it seems there is no direct link to support, Ill just talk to you guys. So whenever I try to trim a video to make it shorter, ill drag it and it wont go to where I want it to start and freeze for 5minutes. Everything freezes that has to do with the roxio. I see in Tutorials and stuff when they are showing the trim feature its working flawlessly! , But Mine is the exact opposite. The trim feature is always freezing.I drag it alittle bit and it freezes EVERYTIME. if anyone had this issue and knows of a solution, please respond back .

IF it is crashing it is either your software or your PC...

You can do a Repair of the software and if that doesn't work we need to look at your PC.

First thing to do is to turn off your Anti Virus, Firewalls, Registry Cleaners, etc.

Unplug your RGC Device and put it aside until you are completely finished.

Now insert your Roxio Disc.

Be sure you accept the offer to Check for Updates (this is for Roxio, not Windows)

When you reach the screen where
Repair
is offered, choose that!

When the Repair competes, turn your AV & Firewall back on and reboot.

A couple of questions: How large is/are the file(s) you're trying to trim? What format are they in? (What is the file extension?) How much space is left on your HD? How much memory does your PC have, and how fast is the processor?

Mine always did this too, the freezing thing, but it was never for more than 30 seconds to a minute. However if I was extending an audio file to the edge of the video, it would freeze and then I'd have to go out of videowave and come back in for it to work. That was when I COULD use videowave however because now the program doesn't even open.
