Toast 7.0.2 Crashing During Verification

I recently installed Toast 7.0.2 on my PowerMac G4/400 (clean install of Mac OS X 10.4.4) in order to backup some data files. The first Data burn (Mac & PC) to DVD (Pioneer DVR-105) completed without incident, but subsequent attempts caused Toast to hang during the Verification phase (in one case Mac OS X crashed completely forcing me to hit the restart button). I was previously using Toast 6 under Mac OS X 10.3 and burned dozen of DVDs without ever seeing this problem.

 

What I've tried so far:

 

- Running a disk repair on the volume that contains the source files (my second internal hard drive).

- Restarting and trying again.

 

...but no luck so far. Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Same thing happens for me. 7.0.1 seems to work (but won't burn a Data DVD) but 7.0.2 crashes during initial verification.

 

I dumped it and went back to 7.0.1. But since it keeps giving the Data Buffer Overrun error when trying to burn a data DVD, I trashed is and just went back to using the Finder.

 

This will be THE LAST time we spend a penny on Toast.

 

Toast is toast.
