Troubleshooting Audio Playback Problem

I have successfully converted old Video 8 metal tape (sony) to my Mac in an effort to save on a DVD! So excited! However, on playback once converted, the audio does not match up with the video, there is a slight delay of about 4 seconds. Any suggestions?

That problem occurs when choosing the High quality setting but does not occur when choosing the Medium quality setting. High quality captures using the Apple Intermediate Codec which writes a fairly large file. The Medium quality is just as good but uses the much more space-efficient (and widely popular) H.264 MPEG-4 codec.

You can either do the capture over again at medium quality or you can download the freeware QT Sync to see if it can get the audio of the existing file back in sync.
