I have never been able to get Copy and Convert to work. I bought a new Acer computer with Windows 8 installed and decided to try the program again. I read some other posts here about disabling my security programs (Windows Defender and Firewall) and tried installing again. Still no luck.
When I either select a clip from a file folder, or insert a DVD and have that content cached, it will never begin the encoding. I get the Encoding dialog box, but it never gets beyond "0% Encoded". I've even gone into the Task Manager and seen that the percentage of CPU effort towards the Copy and Convert program is also 0%.
Then, when I click on Cancel to stop the operation, even that hangs up and I must use Task manager to terminate the program operation.

Any ideas?
