Error Attempting To Read From The Source Install Database

Hello,

I just bought Easy VHS to DVD 3 (at best buy ...)

I can not run the setup.exe file from the disk of from my hard drive

(NB: I did not plug the USB yet)

 

I always have the following error mesage :

 

Error attempting to read from the source install database :

(From blu ray drive )

D: \VHSOD…\ Roxio Easy VHS to DVD 3.msi

D:\CPDECODERPACK_VHS\CPDP.msi

 

(From a folder on hard drive)

C:\Users\...\Roxio Easy VHS to DVD 3.msi

C:\Users\Emilie\Desktop\Nouv…\CPDP.msi

 

Is the DVD faulty?

It looks like you have a bad disc, or your Blu-Ray burner is roached. Did you actually try copying the files, from the DVD, to your hard drive?

Yes I can copy the files on my hard drive and run the setup program but same result. I've tried on another computer with same result.

Can I manually install the program files Roxio Easy VHS to DVD 3.msi and CPDP.msi instead of using setup.exe??

Finally I managed to run the setup software using the hidden administrator account (net user command).
