I have been trying to Uninstall/Reinstall my husband's Media Creator 7.5 on his WinXP system. Bizarre problems. So far, nothing has worked to Uninstall it. My research indicates that many people are also/have also, faced this problem.
Have tried the following methods:
1) Add Remove ( get 'can't find certificate file', and 'cannot authorize, check to see if your system date is correct' )
2) I removed those Registry entries I was able to clearly identify
3) I also tried 2 Uninstaller programs, the last one being: Revo Uninstaller Pro, as well .
* Roxio folder remains in 'Programs'
* Roxio remains in Start/Programs list
*Had to Disable Windows Installer, because screens keep popping up at startup and at random times, as if it is still trying to do the Uninstallation.
I am highly annoyed that Roxio does not offer any Support for a Retail Program my husband paid for; not likely to purchase any of their products again!
Does anyone have any approaches which will work to do a complete Uninstallation?
