Required Codec Missing (1080I60)Error Code When Adding .mov

oldman*nonewbie

Question

I am running latest Mavericks version OSX with latest version of Toast Titanium 11.

I export my edited HD footage to .mov from FCP 7.

I want to make DVD, but when I drag the file into the Toast window, I get the message

Could not add the .mov Required codec missing (1080i60)Error code.

From where is this codec missing?

What must I do?

Thanks for any suggestions.

I was able to find the perian component and install it to get video to work. But now I need to know correct settings to make video not so flickery. Movement is all messed up! Is anyone here?

I visit often but your issue is beyond my experience. Your new issue sounds like the interlacing fields are reversed. In Toast's custom encoder settings window you can change the field order from the default automatic to either top-field or bottom-field first. Maybe that will help.
