Lovetoscream 0 Report post Posted November 6, 2014 (edited) Please Help! I just bought and built a brand new ASUS CPU. Intel Core i5-4690 CPU, 3.50GHz, 16GB Of Ram, 64 bit ASUS R7 260x Series I installed Roxio Game Capture Pro HD on it. Everything so far works except the Video rendering in the roxio editing software freezes on %99. I've tried to export in every different format. I've tried different video clips and movies. I've done the repair 3 times and the reinstall by disk 3 times. I unplugged the capture device and disabled firewalls and antivirus while repairing and reinstalling. I changed the render option to software and hardware. ...Still freezing @ 99!!! I had this setup with my old POS laptop before and it worked fine-ish. Please Help Roxio!!!!!! 0 Jim_Hardin 418 Report post Posted November 7, 2014 First thing to try is proper repair: First thing to do is to turn off your Anti Virus, Firewalls, Registry Cleaners, etc. Unplug your RGC Device and put it aside until you are completely finished. Now insert your Roxio Disc. Be sure you accept the offer to Check for Updates (this is for Roxio, not Windows) When you reach the screen where Repair is offered, choose that! When the Repair competes, turn your AV & Firewall back on and reboot. Also make sure your video settings are STOCK with no tweaking!
0 Lovetoscream 0 Report post Posted November 8, 2014 Thanks for your reply but I've tried these steps numerous times and still freezing at %99. I did however try these steps another 3 times just now. Still No change. Any other thoughts? I think I'm ready to boycott Roxio altogether. If I cant get this going.

That indicates that there is nothing wrong with the software. How long in time is the clip you are rendering? How long do you wait when you say it is hanging? 0 Lovetoscream 0 Report post Posted November 8, 2014 (edited) So what could the issue be with my computer and or windows 8.1? I have tried to render a bunch of clips mp4's and avi's. I've tried old ones and ones that my capture device just captured. Different length. I've tried to render a bunch together and I've also tried to just render one simple clip. 0 Lovetoscream 0 Report post Posted November 8, 2014 Well I figured it out. All I had to do was right click the Roxio icon and run as administrator. So simple...so stupid!

Non-intuitive OS is the culprit a multitude of times.
0 Jim_Hardin 418 Report post Posted November 9, 2014 Well I figured it out. All I had to do was right click the Roxio icon and run as administrator. So simple...so stupid! If your account has Administrator prejudges then running 'as administrator' makes NO difference! I have 8.1 and have never seen this happen so I suspect something else is going on... For example, Nivdia just had an update and it fixed some other issues I was have with NXT and Media Manager.
