Creator 2010 Pro Stopped Working

PaulBirk

Question

I purchased Roxio Creator 2010 Pro and now when I try to use it, I click on a function like edit pictures, the working circle shows, then disappears having done nothing. I don't know if the program is corrupt even though I have reloaded it several times or Roxio has misled me by selling a product that requires annual renewals but never stated that on the packaging Does anyone have any ideas? If it turns out that it requires an annual renewal fee I would lik to start a class action lawsuit against Roxio for misrepresenting their product.

Asking for help and threating a class action lawsuit in the same post is kinda like shooting yourself in the foot!

Are we talking about a bought retail boxed copy?

If so there are no annual renewals.

Close the program and reboot the PC now does the program open?

C2010 does not require an annual renewal. Where did you get that idea? When did you buy C2010? It is a 5 year old program and has not been sold by Roxio for about 4 years.

I bought it new in retail packaging from Fry's abut 3 years ago. I have tried re installing, rebooting, download patches. I am tired o spending good money for products that do not perform as described. Companies put out products with claims of performing certain functions, yet the product fails to live up to the claims, offer no resolutions, then want you to upgrade or pay for support to fix what doesn't work. About the only thing that does work is the demo videos in learning center and some functions with music. Nothing with video or photos.

Hello,

You bought it several years ago. Has it been working until now, or have you only just installed it for the first time, please?

If it was working until now, what were the circumstances of it failing to work?

Did this coincide with any significant changes to your system?

Please tell us more about how it stopped working, rather than who you intend to sue because it stopped working.

Regards,

Brendon

It was working and I just have been too busy to do anything with photos for the last year. When I did have the time to use it I tried to open the application and all I get is the little rectangle with the spinning circle showing it is processing to open. Then it disappears and nothing has opened. There have been no major changes to my pc during that time span. There is no other explanation for it having stopped function other than I went to use it again and all I get is the rectangle with the clocking circle showing it is working then it disappears and nothing has happened, opened or changed.

1. This is the W-7 busy icon, not a Roxio icon, and not rectangle!

2. In a year you haven't updated or changed anything on your PC?
