Smilator
Hello! As always i apologise for my bad english. I've just found some vhs tapes of my childhood, a bunch of Disney's movies and some videos taken by my father. With them i also found a vhs tape recorder, it is built-in the television. I'd like to port my father's old movies on DVDs, so i'd like to purchase your software. But, before this, i have to be sure that my tapes are actually working. So i did put them in and the recorder still moves, it does rewind the tape. But when i play every single tape i can't see the video (i can see the typical fuzzy gray screen) and i can even hear the audio. So, i was wondering, is the tape recorder broken or are all the tapes gone? I find strange that all the tapes are gone, even the ones in their original closed boxes. Could it be just the tape recorder? Thanks, Alessio.
ogdens
I would try and borrow a friend/neighbors/relatives VHS player to do a test with. If they play on it you may be able to copy them. Or you could could take some of the tapes to your friends/neighbors/relatives house and test them their. What is the make and model number of you TV/VCR player?.

d_deweywright
There's really no other solution than to find a known working VHS player. That's the only way to determine if your tapes are playable, with working hardware.
