I've had Roxio's easy VHS to DVD for almost three years now. When I tried to install it in a new notebook I've purchased, I get this error: "The certificate file is missing or has been corrupted. Please re-install it". Then, clicking on the accept button, a new error message opens up: "An unknown error has occurred. The application will shut down now. Exception: Object reference not set to an instance of an object". Then, the application shuts. When troubleshooting the issue by using the Program Compatibility Assistant from the Control Panel, it seems some certificates are no longer valid. How can these be updated/validated? Thanks for your assistance!
