Either "480P Is Not Supported" Or My Tv Goes White.

Friendly_Dandy

Question

Basically, my Gamecap HD Pro was working fine earlier, then, for no reason, I started having problems.

When I start everything up - my Xbox, TV and the capture program, either:

The capture program works fine, yet my TV begins to fade to white, starting from the edges:

Or, my TV works fine, and my capture program tells me that "480p is not supported"

Odd...

Two things to try:

Completely Different Source!

Repair Install.

The Different Source will check for a possible Heat or Electronics failure issue. It can be anything HDMI, your Video Card, a DVD or BD Player, anything that has HDMI for its' output...

The Repair Install will reinstall the software to make sure nothing has gotten corrupted through time. Follow these steps:

First thing to do is to turn off your Anti Virus, Firewalls, Registry Cleaners, etc.

Unplug your RGC Device and put it aside until you are completely finished.

Now insert your Roxio Disc.

Be sure you accept the offer to Check for Updates (this is for Roxio, not Windows)

When you reach the screen where
Repair
is offered, choose that!

When the Repair competes, turn your AV & Firewall back on and reboot.

First of all, sorry for taking so long. I was gone for a while. Anyways, I used Repair Install, and now I have a completely different problem, actually, it's exactly the one described here: http://forums.support.roxio.com/topic/88332-red-no-signal-issue/

Unfortunately, the solution described there does not work for me. This problem continues no matter what source I use, too.

Any idea what's wrong?

The problem with citing 'Mee Too' postings is that they have TWO issues.

...it would be faster if you state your problem rather than making someone have to ask - Which Problem do you have?

Likewise I gave you two suggestions and it appears you only performed One.

AND I have no assurance that you even followed my instructions and reading between the lines, I doubt it -_-

Alright, well just so you know, I did state my exact problem. It was the very problem in the post I linked. Red "No Signal". Crashes when I try and open settings. Everything the exact same. I didn't just say "I have a problem" and leave it at that.

In addition, I did perform both suggestions. At first, I wasn't sure what other source I would use for the first suggestion, so I tried Repair Install first. After completing Repair Install (and having it not work), I realized I could connect my PC to the Roxio in place of the Xbox (a different source), and, as stated in my post, I did that, and it didn't fix anything.

I'm not sure why you have to be so rude.

Oh, and I did follow your instructions. To the letter.
