Videowave Crashes When I Add Background Audio

I have been trying to add a commentary to a video, but when I click "add background audio" it tells me that "VideoWave has stopped working"

Repair it - put your disc back in and run Setup.

 

Just so you know, 'Add Background Audio' allows you to add an existing audio file (wma, wav, mp3 or aac)

 

There is an 'Add Narration' icon or selection under Production. This is different in that you can record from a mic into your Production

I tried the " put your disc back in and run Setup." thing with no success. What I am trying to do is add a narration that I recorded, separately, during the gameplay. The file is wma format.

I explained the proper terminology but you can't seem to get it straight... You are Add Background Audio...

 

If that eludes you, I don't have a lot of confidence that you can follow the more complex instructions of the repair

 

Might be best to have a friend over and work together on this

Then help me get it straight. I am trying to add an already existing audio file(wma format) to a video.

sometimes you have to run the Repair 2 or 3 times for it to work

 

For fun, can you make a small WMA that we can download and try???

It actually is not the file itself, rather the function of the button.

I have only recently started using this software, so please excuse my lack of knowledge.

I have also tried using the media selector and when I click on music it then says the same thing.

"VideoWave has stopped working..." - this is a Windows error message meaning the Program has crashed!

 

You have to repair the program.

 

One thing from many, many versions ago and only with video files, nevertheless.... Try using Windows Explorer to drag and drop the file onto the track.
