What Livestreaming Programs Are Supported By Roxio Game Capture Hd Pro?

Nick-A-30

Question

The livestream function that comes with the Roxio Game Capture HD Pro is very limited; I'm trying to include a facecam and some other things on my stream.

I'm looking into other programs for streaming. Unfortunately, Roxio Game Cap HD Pro isn't supported by OBS, xsplit, etc.

Are there any livestreaming programs that support Roxio Game Capture HD Pro (Paid or free software, either or is fine)

Unfortunately, it's pretty limited.

Roxio would love you to use the Roxio streaming software that comes with the device, but objectively speaking it's not very good. It's horribly slow to load and use, with very finite options and no support for basic things like webcam video overlay. It also limits your video upload, meaning 720p60fps to Twitch is impossible. It also only allows for 720p streams to Twitch, with 1080p being saved exclusively for local recordings.

XSplit has support for the card after working with the Roxio development team, but you have to have the premium account to be able to use it.

Jim, the lead developer of the Open Broadcaster Software, has worked with me in the past on trying to implement GameCAP support, but it proved too difficult without aid from Roxio's staff.

Edit: OBS Multiplatform has support for the Roxio GameCAP HD PRO as of at least version 0.11.1
