How To Capture Cassette Audio

56flh

Question

I thought the USB capture device I purchased with Roxio Creator 2009 Ultimate would work to capture audio from a cassette deck. I upgraded to Creator NXT Pro 3 but seem to get no signal to record. Do I now have to purchase another USB converter for LP/tape?

You don't need extra hardware.

Have you considered feeding your audio into the Line In or Mic socket, and using Roxio Easy Audio Capture ? [Music/Audio > Capture Audio from Sound Card]

There's also the Roxio LP and Tape Assistant [Music/Audio > Digitize LPs and Tapes] and that has connection diagrams to help.

Seems like a lot left out???

It should work using the Capture Audio from Sound Card.

That brings up Roxio Easy Audio Capture. In the drop box fro Capture From: you should see "Line (USB 2861 Device)...

I assume that is what you have and not the earlier Dazzle device?

If true, what do the entries look like in your Device Manager when you plug in the USB Device?
