I work on computers and still can't get it resolved. There was no "activation" process on the Staples end as a retailer, they simply sell the product. There is no POS activation process on the brick and mortar end. There is no activation process there in the retail store like there is when purchasing a cell phone or gift card, etc. This is absolutely a Roxio issue and if they are not careful, no matter how good the product is on the back end, as the reputation gets out, people will choose other options. I read sincere pleas by those frustrated and hear absolutely condescending answers over and over by the same people. Grandpabruce, I am waiting for an answer from Roxio, but if you are frustrated with people struggling with this, then simply just stop replying and stop being arrogant towards those who are sincerely seeking help. I work on the retail end and if I treated customers in person the way so many have been addressed in this forum, we'd be out of business or at least I would be out of a job. You are mistaken, the Activation is done through your store computer system without your knowledge... It is an agreement retail vendors made with Roxio when this product came out.
