Quicktime Error Msg

aevh

Question

I keep getting an error message saying "one or more of the files you are trying to add require Quicktime 7.04 or higher, and have not been added."

I have installed QT7.7.6 already and I am still receiving the message. I am working with a Windows 8.1 OS and am trying to edit .mov files in the Roxio Creator Pro 3 Advanced editing movies tab. I keep getting this message just trying to preview the file. Do I need to install another program in addition to Quicktime (similar to MPEG streamclip which I have used years ago and am more familiar with that tool)?

My question is what programs can I use to convert video files to prepare them for Roxio? I have also received the same error message using the Roxio Copy & Convert program.

Hey,

Modify the QuickTime preferences as shown below:

1. Launch QuickTime Player.

2. Click Options icon.

3. This opens up Preferences dialog box.

4. Click Applications.

5. Set Action => Use Adobe Flash Player. Remember, the default option is QuickTime Plug-In.

6. Apply and save the changes.

Thanks & Regards,

Sam
