I recently burned a DVD from MP4 content and have a green line on the left of the screen when played in any DVD player. The vertical green line is actually made up of all tiny horizontal lines and constant throughout the video. The video before burning is in 16:9 format with 4:3 video and the typical horizontal black bars on either end. Here are the details of the system:
- Mac Pro 2x2.26 GHz Quad-Core Intel Xeon
- Mac OS 10.8.5
- Roxio Toast Titanium 10.0.9
- Apple iMovie 10.0.6
Here are the video details of the MP4 file before encoding:
- H.264/AVC
- 854 x 480
- 29.97 FPS
I have further tried different settings, optical drives, Macs, DVD players, and HDTV's without success. The problem never shows up when the DVD is played on a computer. I also burned the same MP4 file via iSkysoft Media Converter Deluxe and the issue disappeared, so this odd quirk is with Toast. PLEASE tell me that there is a way to get rid of this green line...
