File Sizes Of Video Conversions.

DSE

Question

I am using Toast 12 to convert home videos which are on DVD's to m4v video files to be saved onto a computer. The video_ts folders say the file sizes are 4.12 gb. All of the DVD's say the same size and I assume this is the capacity of the DVD itself. The DVD's contains slightly less than two hours of video.

I use Toast and make all the appropriate selections and I get a file that is about 5.2 GB in size. This seems way too large to me. I tried it with Handbrake and got a file of about 1.75 GB which is much more reasonable it seems. There must be something I am missing here. Any information would be of help.

Thanks
