No Sound From Wii U And Ps4

Okay so i'm using hdmi and i've got everything setup properly even have the hdcp turned off on ps4. My cables work i've plugged them into other devices and they work fine coming straight from cable to the tv. When I bridge them with the roxio is where I get no audio. Audio does work on my xbone so I have no idea what is going on with the other consoles i've tried changing settings and stuff to see if that works the ps4 also will say on video that all the hd signals are unsupported but still shows video I even tried changing to the 480p format which it said was supported and nothing different still no audio. And yes I have all the stuff on the capture program turned up and what not

Sounds (not a pun) like you have not set the RGC Device in your PC.

 

With it plugged in, right click the speaker and look at both Recording and Playback Devices.

 

Also under Mixer, make sure the volume is up on the RGC and that it is not muted

how would it show up in both my recording and playback devices? and i checked that it's not muted. There is no roxio device under my recording and playback devices

Then it never installed properly.

I've uninstalled and reinstalled it. Same problem now when I first installed it there was a warning the transcoder didn't install properly how can I uninstall that or get a proper installation for it

okay it shows up in device manager under sound and video devices as roxio game capture, but under devices and printers it shows up as transcoder and i've done everything that has been suggested in here

now when I tried to do the repair it comes up try to find the installation package roxio game capture hd pro.msi in a folder from which you can install roxio game capture hd pro

Did you delete the Transcoder entry before you did the repair.

It never showed up like that in device manager, so I deleted everything and the reinstalled and same problem so then I tried repair and now it's doing that

If 'transcoder' shows up, it is because you did not follow the instructions... They are specific and for a reason!

 

Now you have to delete those entries and follow the Repair Procedures To The Letter!!!

dude I have already done that okay yeah I messed up and reinstalled everything to the letter and then tried doing it the correct way and am still not getting sound on my wii u and ps4

I just re-read your 1st post you said "Audio does work on my xbone", does that still work ok?

 

Also, does the Transcoder still appear in your Device Manager?

yeah it still works on xbox one. The transcoder does not appear in device manager in device manager under my sound and game devices show roxio capture hd pro but under devices and printers it still shows just transcoder and not roxio game capture hd pro and it doesn't show the roxio under recording and playback devices in my audio settings

If the Roxio software and hardware works ok using Xbox One then no matter where the Transcoder is located does not matter.

 

It has caused problems for a few users (it is not part of the Roxio program). Transcoder" is what Windows installs for a Driver when you don't install the software correctly.

 

I am also out of ideas.
