sknis
I have a 2 hour continuous educational video that I would like to separate into approximately twelve individual lesson videos. How can I efficiently do this? TIA Welcome newbie Well need more information. To start with, here are just the first questions to get established. Is the educational video copy protected? What do you intend to do with the 12 individual lessons in order to view them - on computer or on a DVD or other? Are there any kind of screen changes between the lessons (scenes)? Please confirm that you have the Creator NXT 3 program
Jim_Hardin
WHERE have you been hiding John??? In VideoWave, 'Scenes' may lend itself to that sort of application Take a look Here
Mudhen
Thanks for your prompt replies! I am using Creator NXT3. The educational video is not copy protected. Ideally, I would like to have each "lesson" play on the computer on one screen and be able to toggle to the other screen and actually perform the described functions in another program. Repeating a given lesson as often as necessary. As of this writing, I have added lesson numbers and added text over the beginning frames of each lesson. Now I would like to divide the continuous video into individual segments for ease of use. Again, TIA

Mudhen
Jim, et. al.: Thanks for the reply. I am obviously missing something in NXT3 as I can't seem to place "markers" in my video as you demonstrate in Creator 2010 Pro. Just for a basic clarification, my goal is analogous to cutting a 16mm film strip into segments and then utilizing each segment as a separate video. Thanks for your time and energy. bimicher
I am still not clear on exactly what you want. Do you want to create 12 stand-alone video files or do you want to have one main video that is sub-divided into 12 chapters which you can select from a menu?
