No Signal Problem - Split From Hijacked Thread In Wrong Forum

Ray Darrell

Question

I have exactly the same problem. It tells me that there is no signal present. I have even tried un-installing the programme and then re-installing but it still won't work. I have "Easy VHS to DVD 3 plus".

It did work for a short time a few months ago but then refused to work.

Everything is correctly wired and connected.

I do not want to have to purchase a different brand of software but unless someone can tell me how to get things working again then I'll have no choice.

Ray

Your not even in the same country that the Topic you posted in was started in

The Big Difference is that you are more likely using a SCART connector and the orginal poster hasn't even heard of that word

99% of the time, for Scart users, the problem is that the Scart connector which you are taping for the Composite signal is not even wired!

That is what you want to start looking ;)

Signal ~ Device ~ Software ~ Wires

Those are our only choices

Wires: Make sure the wires and ports they are connected to work and in the case of the output devcie, make sure you have that Output selected (if required)

Software: proper repair...

Unplug the Capture Device

Turnoff AV & Firewalls

Insert disc and run Repair

Turn On Firewalls & AV

Reboot

Device & Signal: Try a different device, DVD or BD Player or another VCR - anything that has Composite or S-Video
