Render Failure When Outputting

After editing a video, I click OUTPUT, then EXPORT AS, filling in the blanks. I then click CREATE VIDEO. Another pop up shows the size, time length, etc of the project. The progress indicator never starts. Then, one of two things happens: after a short interval, a message pops up "cannot render" the project (or something like that) OR nothing at all happens (no pop up,en). Now what?

Yes the specs will help...

 

Also try something DIFFERENT.

 

New Project! - slap in 5 still pictures - burn to Folder or File!

 

Do they work? If so it may be your source files are choking it.

Either something in your clips is choking it or the Software is broke...

 

Let's try a proper repair first to see if that will fix it

 

First thing to do is to turn off your Anti Virus, Firewalls, Registry Cleaners, etc.

 

Now insert your Roxio Disc.

 

Be sure you accept the offer to Check for Updates (this is for Roxio, not Windows)

 

When you reach the screen where

Repair

is offered, choose that!

 

When the Repair competes, turn your AV & Firewall back on and reboot.

Ran the Repair feature & restarted the computer.

 

Tied to output two projects: 76 MB mpg Nothing happened.

154 MB mpg. "Unable to buid render graph."
