And here is an MPEG4 that results in only Japanese. I have tried other apps to encode them and then burn with Toast to no avail. Im really very confused now as Ive been researching this but have hit a brickwall. General

Maybe you can get some answers at videohelp.com. What you are trying to do is difficult. Your videos are all high definition which means they need to be rescaled to standard definition for video DVD. They also have a vertical resolution that is not 480, 720 or 1080 which means Toast may not do its best work in the conversion. I have QuickTime 7 Pro which makes it easy to remove specific audio and text tracks from a mpeg 4 video. I don't know what else can do this. Toast cannot use the DTS audio track that's in the first video you described.

Toast cannot do what you want when it is used to encode the MPEG 2 video. If some other application creates a multiplexed MPEG 2 video that has multiple audio tracks and captioning, Toast will retain those when authoring a DVD video. In that case Toast reports it is multiplexing rather than encoding the video at the start of the project.

I believe Apple's Compressor app does multi-track encoding. I think it is only available with Final Cut Pro. I don't know what other apps can do this.

If you send Toast a video that has the audio track you want it will make the DVD you want. Toast does not have any way to let you select a specific audio track from several unless the source is an MPEG 2 video file. I expect that Toast would take whatever is the first audio track. I'm not familiar with multiple audio tracks on MPEG 4 video files, however.

Is there any way to strip the unwanted files from the source so Toast can burn them with English audio? Is there another app or process I can use. Please steer me in the right direction? Also this MPEG4 file seems to hang when converting. It seems its PAL which I would not know how to tell because it doesnt seem to say it anywhere, but it just hangs even if I choose do not convert to NTSC?
