Roxio Does Not Open

Captain Haddit

Question

Hi - I have had Roxio a couple of weeks and done nothing else than burn

about 30 audio CDs.

Today when I tried to open the program I get a Windows message box that

says 'Roxio Creator has stopped wroking' and is checking for a solution to

the problem.

I uninstall and reinstalled and no change. Then I had Windows 'repair'

the problem or program - no change -

Roxio is still non-functional.

I registered my product somewhere in here thinking there might be a auto-

matic disabling if you don't register.

I will try again tomorrow, be at this point am rather disapointed.

Sincerely, Captain Haddit

It would be nice if you were to tell us exactly what program you have as there are almosr a dozen Roxio Creator out there. You topic will then be moved to the correct forum.

Also at what point do you get the error message? What updates have been done to your system, manual or automatic?

IF software crashes it is due to hardware or the install...

Working then fail should eliminate hardware, however! Thinking there might have been updates to your system along the line that might have done it?

Also - I have never seen Windows "repair" something and that made it work

Let's start with a proper repair:

First thing to do is to turn off your Anti Virus, Firewalls, Registry Cleaners, etc.

Now insert your Roxio Disc.

When you reach the screen where
Repair
is offered, choose that!

When the Repair competes, turn your AV & Firewall back on and reboot.

If that doesn't do it, consider using a Restore Point that will take you back to a date before it stopped working ;)
