Red No Signal And No Profiles

I have just bought a HD Pro and I can't get it to work with my Xbox 360 and Samsung Smart TV HDMI.

 

I have hooked it up hdmi from the xbox to the game cap to the tv and usb to the laptop.

software is installed and loads ok but I get the red no signal message and i get a half blue screen on the tv and sometimes a slight flicker on the roxio preview

 

I have adjusted the HDTV settings on the xbox to 720p and was looking for the dropdown profile list in the roxio software in options to set it to 720p but the box is empty.

 

I can unplug the hdmi cable from the xbox and plug it into my raspberry pi xbmc and it the display comes up on the tv and in the preview window so i know the connects are all fine.

 

Am I missing something here?

Go into your Xbox display settings and turn off the Auto feature.

Go to Settings-System Settings-Console Settings-Display--HDMI Color Space and then select Source.

Still no joy this thing really is a nightmare to get to work. It works fine with the component cables on my old 360 but I need HDMI for my sons xbox as it is one of the new 360's without the component connection. Pass through works on his xbox but not on mine too which seems a bit weird.

When you say "I think" does not help at all, and the picture just sez 360.

 

Is their nothing on the back of the unit?.

Yes it's an xbox360E its the newest model before the xbox one
