Minidv Recording Problem

I just (successfully) loaded VHS to DVD 3 Plus on my desktop. I hooked up my old Canon ZR50 Digital Video Camcorder. I can watch the video from within the program. When I hit the little red Record button all it captures is the first frame and then stops recording. It shows the length of the sessions as "0 seconds". I've tried starting the video before hitting Record and hitting record and then starting the video. Same result either way. Suggestions?

Will VHS to DVD 3 Plus only work with analog sources?

How do you have the cables hooked up from your Camcorder to the Roxio unit?.

 

ONLY analog.

Bummer!!! I bought it to copy video from my MiniDV camera to my computer. Thank you very much.

You have to use the Firewire connection to capture video from that camera.

The only problem may be that your operating system may not support Firewire.

AND there is no provision to capture from a Firewire card with this software...

You should be able to use Windows Movie Maker to capture the video.
