Create Dvd's And Edit Video - Advanced Will Not Run

Rouspeteur

Question

I cannot get the "Create DVDs" or "Edit Video - Advanced" options to run.

When I click "Create DVDs" I get a "Could not create process" error. When I click Ok another box pops up indicating a Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime error saying: "This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way"

When I try to run "Edit Video - Advanced" the cursor changes to the working animation for a few seconds and then nothing.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled the software. I made sure that McAfee was disabled when I did the reinstall.

I am using Windows 7 Premium 64-bit with an Intel Core i7 processor and 12 GB of RAM.

If any one has any suggestions I would really appreciate it.

Reboot the PC and shut down all running programs including antivirus/firewall software. Place the Roxio Software DVD in a drive and choose repair when offered. When it is finished reboot the PC.

If you use a registry cleaner, some antivirus softwares do run a registry cleaner, it will break Roxio Software!

Thank you for the suggestions but nothing seems to work. I have decided to leave it as the video editing features weren't the ones that were critical for me; I only looked at them because my son had a project to do and it looked pretty straightforward and, I thought, easy for him to use.

Thanks again.
