Dvd Video Stutters

I have an HD video project cut in FCP that I need to burn to a DVD. I output via "share" DVD. Put those files into Toast 12 and it played fine. I burned a DVD and the result was a slo-mo stutter effect. Audio is fine. Also output a QT file from FCP with same results although less severe . -Also titles were more jagged. Any thoughts? Thanks!

Are you wanting the DVD to be HD or SD? I think I can provide export settings from FCP that Toast will encode at high quality. Let me know if it needs to be HD or SD.

Here is the QuickTime export setting to use. Notice it shows progressive and not interlaced. This greatly smooths out what Toast encodes when making a video DVD.

that didn't quite work. Quality is better and stuttering seems a lot less, but still there.

Any other ideas would be greatly appreciated.

I don't know what to suggest. I know that Toast has problems with Apple ProRes but since you converted it to DVCPRO50 that should not have been an issue. This setting is working well for my television-producer brother with exports from FCP.
