In Windows 7, if you click the Windows "Start" button in the lower left, then immediately start type the letters "dxdiag" (no quotes) it should come up as you see above. Press enter, and the dxdiag utility should run.

Then you can follow steps 5 thru 9 in the link Jim posted for pasting the output from dxdiag here so we can see what you have for a processor, memory, etc.

You are right at the Minimum processor wise... But that may or may not be a factor.

Let's do a proper repair to make sure it is not from a software corruption, then do 2 test captures.

First thing to do is to turn off your Anti Virus, Firewalls, Registry Cleaners, etc.

Unplug your RGC Device and put it aside until you are completely finished.

Now insert your Roxio Disc.

Be sure you accept the offer to Check for Updates (this is for Roxio, not Windows)

When you reach the screen where
is offered, choose that!

When the Repair competes, turn your AV & Firewall back on and reboot.

1. Capture as you have before. If it doesn't change go on to 2.

2. Set the quality down to 720 X 480 and the bit rate to 8,000 kbps.

Let us know what happens ;)
