Can No Longer Burn Dvd

Doug4488

Question

Using Easy CD and DVD Burner

V 9.0.554

Was having no problems until I shut down my PC and Windows 7 did its automatic update.

Now when I put a blank DVD in, Roxio shows no drive detected.

I looked at other posts and went through the regedit directions but that didn't do anything.

Any idea where I can get help?

Yes, that's true, Version 10.3 was the first to be designated as Windows 7 compatible.

Since your version 9 there has been a version 10.3, and now some years later the current version is version 14.

As to what happened today, probably the installation was killed by a Windows 7 update. It's hard to know for sure because once they go to a new version it's usually only user enthusiasts like us who keep playing round with the old software, and since Roxio won't share the 'nuts and bolts' of their software with us we have to make a lot of educated guesses.

Brendon
