ReAcT
Here im going to tell you guys exactly how i have it all set up... so right now im using a dual monitor set up and one of the monitors is what im playing on.. so it isnt a TV im playing on it is a monitor, so it doesnt have the component inputs... That is what im playing on as i said then the from the xbox is the component cable going to the Roxio gamecap then from the game cap to my pc that is it... So im going to buy a tv so i can just use the component cable output

ogdens
Ok....so you would hook it up as shown in the picture in post 20. You can only use one of the console connectors (in your case the Xbox) at the same time.
ReAcT
"You can only use one of the console connectors (in your case the Xbox) at the same time." SO that means i cant use HDMI and The AV cable at the sametime?
ogdens
The Roxio Game Capture does not have any HDMI ports on it. It is component IN and component OUT.
d_deweywright
SO that means i cant use HDMI and The AV cable at the sametime? Does your device have HDMI connectors? If so, then you have the Roxio Game Capture Pro device, not the Roxio Game Capture standard. And if so, you can only use one of the input types at a time, either HDMI or Component. d_deweywright
Okay, once again, there's been a lack of clarity. When you asked about using both the HDMI and the Component cables, we understood that to mean in relation the Roxio Game Capture device, when you were talking about your XBox. As far as making your XBox output on both video outputs? I haven't a clue. We were saying, (I was saying) at least in regard to the Roxio Game Capture Pro, you can only use one of those inputs at a time. In your case, since you're using the Roxio Game Capture standard, then you only have the Component inputs anyway. So, you're connecting an HDMI cable to your TV to watch the actual game-play. You're saying your TV doesn't also have Component video inputs? I thought almost all TVs with HDMI inputs also had Component inputs. And if so, why not just pass that signal through? Please correct me if your TV does NOT have component video inputs.
ogdens
Yeah i know that is for the HD PRO version... but i have a AV/compatibility cable plugged into the device and on my pc i can here the sounds of me gaming... So does the HDMI cut off the Video output of the AV/compatibility cable? Can you provide a link to the specific AV/compatibility cable you have (there are many, many out there). This how to hook it up
ogdens
So what input(s) does your TV monitor have?. It may be possible to get a Component converter to whatever you have!.

d_deweywright
Okay... weird thought here, but depending on what size TV you thinking of getting, it might be cheaper to get the Roxio Game Capture Pro so you can use HDMI straight through, and capture at higher resolution. bimicher
A green "No signal" means you are not connected correctly. Why not post exactly how you are connected starting at your game consol. What do you mean by "It has like green and blue and red lines going threw this software"? Is that 2nd picture supposed to show anything?

Jim_Hardin
The RGC SOFTWARE on your PC is not seeing the RGC Device! OR you do not have the Software/Drivers installed properly! There is no 3rd possibility Your USB cord or port are not working (first one) You plugged in the Device to your PC Before you installed the software (second one) For this one the repair works like this: First thing to do is to turn off your Anti Virus, Firewalls, Registry Cleaners, etc. Unplug your RGC Device and put it aside until you are completely finished. Now insert your Roxio Disc. Be sure you accept the offer to Check for Updates (this is for Roxio, not Windows) When you reach the screen where Repair is offered, choose that! When the Repair competes, turn your AV & Firewall back on and reboot.
