Videowave Constantly Freezing

I'm not a computer ish person so I'm not good with computer talk just to let you all know!!

But whenever I try editing in VideoWave it takes a long time to load.

Whenever I splice it lags and takes a good 5 minutes to finish loading.

Whenever I delete a selected splice it takes a good 5 minutes to load.

When I add text it takes just as long.

If I click enter to create two lines of text it completely crashes.

I know its not my computer. My computer works fine.

I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling Roxio and checking for updates and everything.

I have checked other peoples threads and I either don't understand what they are talking about or it just doesn't work.

The actual capture program seems to be working fine but the VideoWave isn't. I really want it to not lag because I made a video and editing took almost 17 hours because of all the lagging.

Someone help? Please?

Your HDD FREE SPACE has a great effect on performance as well as your Render Choice.

While you are checking your HDD Properties, change your Render Choice in the software under Tool - Options - Render - Software.

(it defaults to Hardware and that sucks the life out of many PC's ;))

Also it would be wise to run a proper repair sequence:

First thing to do is to turn off your Anti Virus, Firewalls, Registry Cleaners, etc.

Unplug your RGC Device and put it aside until you are completely finished.

Now insert your Roxio Disc.

Be sure you accept the offer to Check for Updates (this is for Roxio, not Windows)

When you reach the screen where
is offered, choose that!

When the Repair competes, turn your AV & Firewall back on and reboot.
