Kipkame11
I have an Acer Aspire 5253-BZ656, and I have recorded my first video on the Xbox 360. It looked fine in Windows Media Player, but when I popped it in to Videowave, the video in the preview box was lagging severely! Any help would be appreciated. Jim_Hardin
What does that mean??? "Lagging" is a term applied to the view in one place not running at the same speed as the view in another during real time. You seem to be describing a recorded file that is running Slow? d_deweywright
Looking up the specs on your laptop, I'm happy you were able to record, but some amount of delay/skipping, etc during video processing does not surprise me as your processor is quite under powered. Here's what you have: PROCESSOR / CHIPSET CPU AMD C-50 1 GHz Number of Cores Dual-Core You'll note that the specifications for the Roxio Game Capture Pro HD are significantly higher: Microsoft Windows® 8, 7, Vista™ SP2, XP (SP3 for 32 bit & SP2 for 64 bit), Intel® Core 2 Duo Processor 1.8 GHz or AMD Athlon x2 64 2.0 GHz, 2GB RAM Dual Core 2.3 GHz above is recommended for 1080 30p/60i recording So, some amount of delay in the preview screen does not surprise me. The real question is, after you render the video and output to whatever your final format is, how does it look and play at that point?
Jim_Hardin
Thanks, did not have time earlier... Yes, those specs pretty well nail it.
Kipkame11
Ah, I see! To answer your question, dewey, when I render the video, it looks just like the one in Windows Media Player, smooth and flowing, and high quality.
d_deweywright
So, overall, you're good to go. When you're fiddling with the video preview window, VideoWave is doing some extra processing for scaling, and especially any effects/corrections you may have applied, and your system simply doesn't have the computing power to do that smoothly in real-time. But once it's rendered, then playback works okay since all of that processing is done.
