Disc Plays On Laptop But Not Player. Split From Hijacked Topic

Seriously??

Question

I am having this same trouble. Will play on laptop but not DVD nor blueray player. I think my software is about to head back for a refund. I just wish they had included "must have a PhD in IT in order to operate the product. So yes, I must say that 80% if not more will have "no idea what we're talking about" when we come to this site. I'm with you, Newbie.

Seriously?? Please tell us all of the steps you went through to create your DVD, from capture, through edit, to creating the DVD. All of the steps and options you used. Maybe we can identify which steps you may have missed or need some help with to make a playable DVD. Also, if you put your DVD in your laptop, and then open up Windows Explorer and attach a screen shot of that, so we can see the folders and files that are on the disc, that will also help!

I'm having the same issue and have submitted a question to support.

To make it more interesting...when I burn directly from VHS to DVD via the "Record DVD" option (left hand side of the two options) the resulting DVD plays fine on all my DVD players.

But if I burn two 10-minute videos using the "Record, Edit and Save" option (right hand side of the two options) the resulting DVD does not "close" or "finalize" correctly and can't be recognized as a video DVD.

Then re-read Post #2 and supply all the information you left out
