80004005 Error While Encoding Menu

I recently started getting this error when trying to make a DVD. I am trying a simple slide show creation with about 30 pictures. I have tried removing and installing the EMC 8 software. There is a hotfix out there that I tried but once I loaded then I received different errors with a Videowave 7 error before the encoding even began. Anyone else have this?
