Oceansail16
I am researching upgrading my work from Roxio Creator Silver 6 to 7 but need to know if the character limit for burning data disks has changed to be more than 106. I know on version 6 the DVD file system is preset to ISO+Joliet+UDF and cannot be changed but limits my users to a file/path of 106 characters. Just need to know if version 7 can accept more characters. Thanks for any help.
Brendon
Roxio Creator Silver is a Volume Licensing Product, and if you want Silver 7 you're going to have to buy at least 10 copies of it. Learn more about it here or
Oceansail16
I am aware of that. We currently have 60 seats on Silver 6 but want to know if Silver 7 corrects dvd character limit or if I need to go to another product.

Jim_Hardin
The answer is NO. But it doesn't have anything to do with the Software... Optical Media has its' own set of international Standards - Joliet = 64 Characters AND 128 Pathname limit (full path to the file + filename) UDF = 229 for Files and 256 for Directory You are trying to push a Square peg into a Round hole Detail what it is you want to do and we may be able to suggest a method that will work within the Optical media standards...
