JacobdeFries
Greetings, I have a problem with the media capture. Whenever I push the blue 'Capture' button, it will try to load the Media Capture program and crash. I have an XBox 360 connected with HDMI. I'm running Windows 7 64 Bit with 8 GB Ram. What to do? Jim_Hardin
Not really seeing anything that jumps out... You do have the RGC plugged directly into your PC and not using an external USB Hub? Have you tried all of your ports? The other thing is possibly a heat issue. Have you tried it with the PC cold? (just after a long off period) As you can tell, down to desperate guessing
Jim_Hardin
Fix it! First thing to do is to turn off your Anti Virus, Firewalls, Registry Cleaners, etc. Unplug your RGC Device and put it aside until you are completely finished. Now insert your Roxio Disc. Be sure you accept the offer to Check for Updates (this is for Roxio, not Windows) When you reach the screen where Repair is offered, choose that! When the Repair competes, turn your AV & Firewall back on and reboot.
JacobdeFries
Turned off my AV etc. Unplugged the device. Put in the disc, but got no option to repair. Opted for the reinstall and updated everything. Still no working program. Included are two images of the error message I get.
Jim_Hardin
Do it agin, it can take 3 try's... A little concerned that you don't get the Repair offer~ that indicates that your PC does not recognize RCG has been installed? But clearly it has! JacobdeFries
Tried it 10 times in a row: nothing. It keeps crashing. I looked at older topics but to no avail. I can play games just fine when everything's plugged in. I've been at it for a little over 4 hours now and about to give up. There has to be a solution to this... Jim_Hardin
Sounds more like your PC is the issue. I'm not at home, so maybe someone will post a link to Steve's Dxdialog info.
JacobdeFries
Update: I redownloaded the Visual C++ redists for 32 and 64-bit, still it crashes. Only one time it didn't crash, but it didn't show me any capture feed while my XBox was on.
