Encoding Frozen

Question

Hello, I'm trying to burn a DVD. I dropped my 4.8GB .mp4 file into the window and pressed burn. It started encoding but has frozen at 3%. Now nothing is happening. What is the problem? Do I have to keep it on the Toast window or something? Am I not allowed to go on the internet while it's encoding in the background? I didn't minimize it or anything.

You will need to force quit Toast. You can do other things with your Mac while Toast is encoding. My guess is Toast stalled when it came across something that isn't right in the video file; possibly a dropped frame. Try using another application such as QuickTime Player to save a new version of your video and give that one a try in Toast.
