I've been opening cue-bin images in toast and saving them as audio disc images (sd2f)
what i find odd is that despite the blazing read/write speed of my SSD being 540MBytes/s and the fact that i have 16gig of ram, 8 logical i7 cores, toast writes these images at about 1% per second
Both the source and the destination of these files are on the SSD, and when i watch the processes in the activity monitor, toast is barely peaking above 5% of the cpu and drive activity is almost nothing.
at 650megabytes, an audio cd should take maybe a few seconds to process
