I'm trying to use videowave and mydvd to convert TiVo files to DVD. I'm experiencing many hangs and other problems. I've tried the latest drivers for my video card but an older version actually works better. Right now I'm having trouble adding chapter marks to the video. The video falls behind the audio as I move into the video. This makes it impossible to set chapter marks where I really want them.
I've come to the conclusion that I need to upgrade my hardware. I'm using an older Dell with a Pentium 4 1.8ghz CPU, 768mb physical memory and a 64mb NVidia GeForce2 MX video card. I'm on a restricted budget. Which is more important to video editing, CPU speed or Video card performance?
