Working With 24 Bit Sound Card

Muddy

Question

I want to know if this software will work with a 24 bit Sound Card and actually copy/digitize my old LP's in 24 bit. I would like to use the editor with this because it works pretty well and burn to disc also, if it will work in true 24 bit.

Yes I do already have the software but I just purchased the 24 bit sound card and haven't tried it with this software yet. I have had nothing but problems with the software that was bundled with the sound card so I was wondering if anybody had tried it with this yet. I am just moving my large LP collection to CD for easier playback. I will let you know if/how it works out.

Just keep in mind that what you ultimately put onto CD, assuming your creating a standard Audio CD-DA disc, is 16-bit, 44.1Ksps, stereo. That's the standard. And I know you can't use 24-bit audio as the source going for making an audio CD in any version of Creator to date.

Since it sounds like you have the program, the best way to know is to try it. But, I don't believe Sound Editor has ever worked with 24-bit audio files. The next question would be your plans for the 24-bit audio. Audio CD? Music DVD? But, I've never tried Sound Editor from this particular package with 24-bit audio, so give it a try.
